Margo Phelps
BOARD MEMBER
“Margo” is a lifelong New Orleanian. She graduated from Newcomb College in 1976. Margo has been active in the community ever since. She served as an elder at St. Charles Avenue Presbyterian Church and chaired the session nominating committee. Margo chaired the major gifts campaign for the Early Learning Village of the Louisiana Children’s Museum. She serves on the executive committee of the Metropolitan Crime Commission and a member of the Salvation Army Board.
Margo served on the executive committee of the McGehee School Board and chaired the Trusteeship Committee. She was recently chairman of the Head of School Search Committee. Margo chaired the Education Committee of Citizens for 1 Greater New Orleans and chaired the Executive Committee of Citizens for 1. She is currently on the board of Community Academies of New Orleans.
